Jesus comes to bring cosmic reconciliation

In the age before, God created us in the beginning with our domain.

Matthew 19:4 (NASB1995)
And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female...

"Beginning" in original Greek is arché (Strong's 746).

Arche is the initial point, magistrate, power.

Jude 1:6 (NASB1995)
And angels who did not keep their own domain [arche], but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day.

But Lucifer and angels rebelled God and left their domains in Heaven.

God casted Lucifer (and his angels) out from Heaven. The wars turned the earth into a desolate place.

Genesis 1:2 (NASB1995)
The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep...

After the reconstitution of the earth, God created Adam and Eve, and once again gave mankind the role of governing the earth.

Genesis 1:28 (NASB1995)
God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

God gave the earth to us.

Psalms 115:16 (NASB1995)
The heavens are the heavens of the Lord, But the earth He has given to the sons of men.

But man betrayed God, and death entered the world.

Romans 5:12 (NASB1995)
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned—

Throughout the ages, men also made different deals with the devil, and lend over the authority of the earth to him.

That's why the devil once said to Jesus, all the kingdoms of the world are his.

Matthew 4:8-9 (NASB1995)
Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.”

Now Jesus is the solution.

Through the work of His cross, all authority in heaven and the earth has given to Him.

Through Jesus, we restore our identity.

Matthew 28:18 (NASB1995)
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Jesus pays off our debt and reconciles us to Himself.

2 Corinthians 5:18 (NASB1995)
Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.

Through us who are in Christ, the creation waits eagerly for the reconciliation.

Romans 8:19 (NASB1995)
For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.

Those who are in Christ are new creations.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NASB1995)
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

"Old things" in original Greek is archaios (strong's 744) from the word arche.

In Jesus Christ, we have new authority, new domain, and new life.

You have a part of play in the reconciliation of the whole cosmos to Christ.
